Lydia Hu was crowned Miss Sinergy 2012on October 22, 2011 at the French Embassy located in Washington D.C.



The Miss Sinergy competition is a women empowerment program for young women who have a strong desire to contribute to multiple social causes during a twelve month reign. To enthuse and promote a charitable ambassador who will coordinate and help promote charitable activities to raise funds and awareness for social causes, domestically and internationally. The first annual Miss Sinergy event debuted in November 2009 at the prestigious House of Sweden on the historic Georgetown Waterfront. The event brought together some of the world’s most influential and affluent individuals while promoting awareness of the global prominence and severity of breast cancer. Representatives from Sweden, Iceland, Canada, Iran, and the United States, with backgrounds in pageantry, philanthropy, fashion, and media, judged the competition in which 20 young women competed for the title.
